SAPP WINS FIRST GAME AS HEAD COACH

Coach Sapp dances "The Hustle" with partner Kym before
last weekend's game to inspire his team to victory.

SAPP WINS FIRST GAME AS HEAD COACH

By Bill O'Really, FAUX News

Fidalgo Island — Warren Sapp won his first game as the new Sea Hogs head coach this past weekend in a blow out over the Midtown Mojo. The Sea Hogs ended a four game losing streak with the win.

The Sea Hog players gave all the credit to Coach Sapp who inspired his team to victory by dancing "The Hustle" with his Dancing With The Stars partner Kym Johnson before the game. One of the three DWTS judges, Bruno Tonioli, was a special guest of Coach Sapp and witnessed the pre-game dance routine. Bruno was so turned on he took the opportunity to compare Warren's ''funk'' to a word just one letter off from that: "You ease your way in, build up the rhythm, and deliver a huuuuuuuge climax at the end. Way to go! I give you a Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine for that performance!"

The Sea Hogs must have been turned on too, as they raped the Mojo 167 to 99.5. The Sea Hogs scored more points than any other NFFA team for the weekend and were named "Team of the Week."

OBOBBER REPONDS TO PROPOSED SCORING CHANGE

Meemaw Thurmann practices for a potential visit from Mojo D.

OBOBBER REPONDS TO PROPOSED SCORING CHANGE

By Bill O'Really, FAUX News

Fidalgo Island — Fidalgo Island Sea Hogs owner Tirik Obobber responded today to Mojo D's proposal to change the NFFA scoring rules to eliminate points for kick returns. Obobber, who has implemented a strategy this year to primarily use kick returners (KRs) at the player positions of RB, WR, and DB, had this to say:

"Mojo D didn't get beat last weekend by KRs, he got beat by a QB who scored over 60 points, a TE who scored an unheard of 23 points, a LB who scored 20.5 points, and a standard RB (Thomas Jones) who scored an incredible 32 points.

"KRs are not the problem. They merely expand the field of available RB, WR, and DB choices for team owners/coaches. KRs don't necessarily score ridiculous numbers of points any more than standard RBs, WRs, and DBs do. Any coach can use KRs, as there are plenty of them out there, but using them doesn't always work -- just look at my record this year. If the league is interested in changing the scoring rules to create more parity, then eliminating KR yardage is not the answer.

"The answer is to change the scoring for QBs. When you have only a few QBs who are capable of scoring 50 to 60 points a game, which can easily equal the total production of 5 to 10 other players, then you have a true imbalance in the league. I think we should reduce the points that QBs get for TDs (4 points?) and yardage (1 point for every 20 yards?), so that the QB position is not so dominant.

"Mojo D may be blaming KRs as a smokescreen, since he has Tom Brady, the most dominant QB in the league last year, on IR. Perhaps Mojo D needs to pay a visit to Meemaw Thurmann to get him to see things a little differently. I know her skillet opened my mind.

"Again, the problem is not allowing more players to have scoring ability, the problem is allowing one position (the QB) to become too dominant. This is the situation we find ourselves in now. Let's fix it."

TIRIK OBOBBER???

Ballswellia, the miracle herb shown growing in India, which regrows severed tissue.

TIRIK OBOBBER???

By Bill O'Really, FAUX News

Not since The Artist Formally Known As Prince has a public figure attempted such a radical change in his public persona as that announced today by Fidalgo Island Sea Hogs owner Tirik Obobber, formerly known as Triki Bobber, who before that was known as Tricky Bob.

In a press release issued today, Obobber had this to say: "Effective today I am changing my name to Tirik Obobber. I am a different person than I used to be. I can thank Meemaw Murrman for that. By whacking me over the head with a skillet and clipping my cods, she made a new man out of me; a more gentle man, a more sensitive man, a more compassionate man. For this I am forever grateful to her."

"I have chosen the name Tirik Obobber, as it symbolizes CHANGE, a change we can believe in."

Obobber continued: "I hear that other key figures in the NFFA, namely Boyd X. Biggs, Jim McMahon, Buddy Ryan and Commissioner Willie D. Money (the self-proclaimed "Sopranos"), also had their nads removed recently. I condemn and denounce these nut cuttings. I want everyone to know that I had nothing to do with these despicable acts. I do not know who carried them out, but I am offering a million dollar reward to anyone who can conclusively prove who committed these terrible acts so they can be brought to justice.

"I am pleased to report that my tes-tay-tays are growing back. I have been seeing an Ayurvedic physician in India who has prescribed for me a rare herb that promotes the re-growth of severed tissue. The herb is called Ballswellia. It is working for me. To show my support to "the Sopranos" who unfortunately suffered the same fate as myself a couple of weeks ago, I am sending a year's supply of Ballswellia to each of them free of charge in hopes that they will be able to re-grow their packages as well.

"To my opponent this weekend, Mojo D, I wish him and his team the best of luck."

Night of the Nut-Cutting???

Buddy Ryan in happier times; now one of "The Sopranos."

Night of the Nut-Cutting???

By Bill O'Really, FAUX News

Nashvegas -- Americans awoke this morning to devastating news that threatened reproductive freedom everywhere. In what may soon come to be known as the "Night of the Nut-Cutting," several prominent Nashvegans were assaulted and maimed.

Nashvegas police held a press conference at 8 AM CST today to announce that four men associated with the Nashvegas Fantasy Football Association were castrated in their homes overnight in what authorities believe was a series of coordinated attacks. The victims, all executives connected to the NFFA, were identified as Boyd X. Biggs, Buddy Ryan, Jim McMahon, and Willie D. Money. Biggs is owner and manager of the West Nashville Beelzebubbas, Ryan is manager and McMahon is coach of the East Nashville Black Dogs, and Money is Commissioner of the NFFA.

The attacks were carried out in the middle of the night by a band of masked men. Currently, no evidence has been found to identify the perpetrators. However, sources close to the investigation speculate that the attacks may somehow be related to the recently reported castration of Triki Bobber, another NFFA team owner. The precise nature of the relationship is not known, and FAUX News has not been able to confirm whether Bobber was actually castrated. Bobber is currently cruising the Pacific Ocean in his yacht "The Fidalgo Clipper."

FAUX News has confirmed through multiple reliable sources, including Nashvegas police, that Biggs, Ryan, McMahon, and Money were in fact castrated. Although Ryan, McMahon, and Money lost only their testicles, the castration of Biggs was total - his testicles, scrotum and penis were amputated leaving him looking like a woman from the waist down.

Police were not able to locate the testicles of Ryan, McMahon, and Money, but Biggs' sexual organs were found in Biggs' home under a set of fingernail clippers suspected as having been used as the cutting tool. Doctors at Vanderbilt Hospital were unsuccessful in their attempt to reattach Biggs' sexual organs, as Biggs' penis and testicles were too small to accept a needle and sutures. Said one of the doctors, "I don't understand why they call him "Big Boy."

Doctors expect the victims to make a rapid recovery. The four men have already formed a singing quartet to help them cope emotionally with their new condition. Because of their high voices, they call themselves "The Sopranos."

Police are continuing to investigate the attacks.

COACH MCMAHON — OUT OF THE CLOSET??? (UPDATE)

FAUX News stands by its story that East Nashville coach Jim McMahon is gay.

COACH MCMAHON — OUT OF THE CLOSET??? (UPDATE)

UPDATE: Ariel Mutha-Tafoya of Fantasy Sports News published a story today claiming the following FAUX News story published yesterday is false. FAUX News denies the allegation and stands by its story. Hence, FAUX News has re-posted its story in its entirety. FAUX News and Bill O'Really hold themselves to the highest standards of fantasy news and journalistic integrity. Ariel Mutha-Tafoya, on the other hand, has failed to follow proper journalistic practices and has violated the high standards of fantasy news and journalistic integrity. She may have fallen victim to the shenanigans of the illegitimate son of Dick Cheney, also known as Boyd X. Biggs, who is known for spreading false and libelous stories. Faux News is investigating and has contacted authorities for possible criminal prosecution.

Yesterday's story reads as follows:

Nashvegas — In a development that has rocked the NFFA and all of professional football, Coach Jim McMahon of the East Nashville Black Dogs has come out of the closet wearing a pantsuit belonging to Sea Hogs president Hillary Clinton.

Finally putting to rest the rumors that have surrounded his sexuality, McMahon announced his gayness on the cover of the prestigious People magazine while holding his new baby boy Bruce who was given birth recently by a surrogate mother artificially inseminated by McMahon.

Questions of McMahon's manhood arose several weeks ago when a photo of the Black Dogs coach strutting the catwalk in a light blue pantsuit appeared in a local gay-pride newspaper. The photo was taken at a fashion show to raise money for AIDS Awareness Week. Said fashion designer Pepe Lepeu who observed the event, "That pantsuit fit him perfectly. I didn't expect his behind to fill out the seat, but apparently all those fruity drinks at the local clubs and his penchant for heavy breakfasts gave him just the right curves."

McMahon's light blue pantsuit was rumored to belong to his friend Hillary Clinton, president of the Fidalgo Island Sea Hogs. When asked about the photo, Hillary appeared shocked. "When he told me he wanted to get into my pantsuit, I had no idea he wanted to WEAR it. All of his phone calls to me at 3:00 AM weren't booty calls, . . . he was trying to STEAL my wardrobe. I knew I shouldn't have let him pick up my laundry," she said disgustedly.

Whether Coach McMahon's revelation will have any effect on his coaching job with East Nashville remains to be seen. Black Dogs owner William D. Money could not be reached for comment.

SEA HOGS WIN NFFA CHAMPIONSHIP !!!

Sea Hogs Captain Peyton Manning savors the 2007 NFFA Championship Trophy

SEA HOGS WIN NFFA CHAMPIONSHIP !!!

By Bill O'Really, FAUX News

The Fidalgo Island Sea Hogs are the NFFA champions for 2007! The Sea Hogs defeated the West Nashville Beelzebubbas 142 to 122 in the NFFA championship game to win the title. This was the Sea Hogs first victory in their third consecutive appearance in the championship game.

Team captain Peyton Manning, who scored 49 points to lead the Sea Hogs to victory, accepted the league trophy for the team. When asked what he planned to do next, Manning said, "I'm going to Fantasyland!"

Sea Hogs owner and general manager Triki Bobber, who was on hand for the post-game festivities, said, "I want to thank all the other NFFA teams for folding under pressure to allow us to win the championship. I would also like to thank Old Man Winter for coming to our aid in our time of need. I had to call in a major favor to get his help. We couldn't have done it without him. I also want to thank the Money sisters, Cash and Mo, for comforting me on those long nights those few times after we suffered a defeat. And last, but not least, I want to thank Nostradamus for drawing attention to our team and creating world-wide support for us. I wish he were here so I could thank him personally, but he's long dead. Maybe someone will resurrect him so I can shake his hand someday."

With that, Bobber disappeared into the sea of Fidalgo Islanders who partied into the wee hours of the morning to celebrate the first of what they hope will be a long string of championships.

BOBBER THREW GAMES TO FACE 'MOJO D' IN THE PLAYOFFS ???

Sea Hogs fans demonstrate for an investigation of Triki Bobber.

BOBBER THREW GAMES TO FACE 'MOJO D' IN THE PLAYOFFS ???

By Bill O'Really, FAUX News

League officials are investigating the possibility that Triki Bobber, owner and general manager of the Fidalgo Island Sea Hogs, may have intentionally thrown his last two regular season games in order to face the Midtown Mojo in the first round of the playoffs so he could easily advance to the finals.

According to sources close to the investigation, Bobber wanted to face the Midtown Mojo in the semifinals because he deemed them the easiest team to beat among those competing for a playoff spot.

Bobber apparently believed that Mojo D, the rookie owner and coach of the Midtown Mojo, was “too high strung and impressionable” to handle the pressure of competing in the NFFA Playoffs. Experts point to Mojo D’s indecision over which QB to start for the semifinal game and his eventual decision to start the wrong QB (he left 20 points on the bench at that position) as proof that Bobber may have made an accurate assessment of his best playoff matchup. Many believe that Bobber’s pre-game smack talk with Mojo D on the NFFA website “messed with Mojo D’s mind” and led to his coaching errors.

As a result of Mojo D’s pre-game claim to having “the top efficiency rating in the NFFA,” his coaching errors in the semifinal game have made him the laughingstock of the league.

According to sources, Bobber allowed the Midtown Mojo to win in Week 13 to help them make the playoffs, and then lost to the Atlanta Smackdaddies in Week 14 to insure that he would face the Midtown Mojo in the semifinals.

NFFA officials aren’t the only ones asking questions about the Sea Hogs last two losses. Sea Hogs fans who lost their shirts betting for the Sea Hogs are also demanding answers. As previously reported, bankruptcy filings have reached an all-time high on the once wealthy Fidalgo Island as a result of gambling losses. Yesterday, protestors gathered outside Sea Hogs headquarters to call for an investigation.

Bobber has denied the claims of wrongdoing. “These are just conspiracy theories. This is the kind of stuff that happens to you when you are successful,” said Bobber. “I’ll admit we were very fortunate to play the Midtown Mojo in the semifinals, as they were clearly the weakest franchise. But hey, give Mojo D a break. He’s just a rookie. Maybe he will learn from this experience.”

The Sea Hogs play the West Nashville Beelzebubbas for the NFFA Championship this weekend, a team they have already beaten twice this season. This is the Sea Hogs third consecutive trip to the championship game. They have yet to win the big one. Will this be the year of the Sea Hogs?

Nostradamus Predicts Mojo Upset Over Sea Hogs !!!

Mojo QB coach Belichick and QB Brady conspire on the sidelines to run up the score in a recent game.

NOSTRADAMUS PREDICTS MOJO UPSET OVER SEA HOGS !!!

By Bill O'Really, FAUX News

Fidalgo Island — There is no joy on Fidalgo Island this week as bad news abounds. Early this morning the University of Paris released a new quatrain from Nostradamus’ “Le Prophecies de Sporte” (“Sports Picks”). Entitled “The Playoffs,” Quatrain 615 is believed to predict a defeat for the Sea Hogs in this weekend’s semi-final matchup with the Midtown Mojo. The quatrain, which was written over 450 years ago, reads as follows:

Quatrain 615: The Playoffs

Bellicose takes revenge on Man-genius,
Letting Brady set records with the pass,
For the semi-finals of the playoffs in Week 15,
The Sea Hogs get handed their ass.

Experts say that “Bellicose” is a reference to Bill Belichick, the QB coach for the Mojo, who has a grudge against Sea Hogs assistant coach Eric Mangini, who is often referred to as “Man-genius” for his brilliant strategies. Earlier this season, Mangini accused Belichick of illegal spying, which resulted in Belichick being punished by the NFFA. Belichick has been known to run up the score on teams, especially those against whom he holds personal grudges. Brady, of course, is the star QB for the Mojo who has set records for TD passes this season.

More bad news for Fidalgo Island comes from the economic sector. Personal bankruptcies have climbed to an all-time high on the once wealthy island. The record number of bankruptcy filings is believed to be the result of massive gambling losses for island residents brought on by their devoted adherence to the sports predictions of Nostradamus, which, of late, have been frequently incorrect. Nostradamus predicted a victory for the Sea Hogs in each of the past two weeks, but was wrong on both counts.

When asked about Nostradamus’ Quatrain 615 and the upcoming playoff game with the Mojo, Sea Hogs owner and general manager Triki Bobber said, “With the track record that Nostradamus has lately, this most recent prediction does not bode well for the Mojo.” When asked how the Sea Hogs could possibly hope to overcome the sky-high numbers being put up by Brady, Bobber asked, “Has anyone checked the weather forecast lately?”

NOSTRADAMUS — CALLING THE ‘HOGS ???

This Sea Hog cheerleader knows how to woo the Pigs of the Sea.

NOSTRADAMUS — CALLING THE ‘HOGS ???

By Bill O’Really, Faux News

Cheers of “Woo Pig Sooie!” erupted on Fidalgo Island yesterday when news broke of the latest quatrain translated from Nostradamus’ new book “Le Prophecies de Sport” (translated: “Sports Picks”).

Quatrain 613, entitled “The Magi” (magi means magician), was released by La Sorbonne in Paris yesterday. The English translation, which substitutes "Mojo" for "Magi," reads as follows:

Blood runs through the streets amid town
As the offense crushes the Mojo’s D.
The home crowd cheers in adoration to
Woo the Pigs of the Sea.

Nashvegas bookmakers believe the cryptic quatrain refers to the Week 13 game on Fidalgo Island between the Sea Hogs and Mojo D’s Midtown Mojo. The oddsmakers claim that Nostradamus has called this one for the Sea Hogs. Fidalgo Islanders agree. The Sea Hogs fans are calling the ‘Hogs and their bookies in expectation of a Sea Hogs win.

Over the last several weeks the per capita income on Fidalgo Island nearly doubled from gambling winnings, as Nostradamus correctly predicted Sea Hogs victories over the Beelzebubbas, the Animals, the Bakers, and, last week, the Scouts.

SEA HOGS GIVE THANKS FOR QUATRAIN 126 !!!

Nostradamus does the turkey walk on Thanksgiving

SEA HOGS GIVE THANKS FOR QUATRAIN 126 !!!

By Bill O'Really, FAUX News

Fidalgo Island — The Sea Hogs and their fans gave thanks en masse at their annual Thanksgiving holiday dinner celebration on Fidalgo Island when word spread of a new quatrain from Sports Picks, Nostradamus' recently discovered book of sports predictions. The new quatrain is believed to predict a victory this weekend for Triki Bobber's Sea Hogs over Thurman Murrman's Alamo Scouts led by QB Ben Roethlisberger.

Given number 126 by Nostradamus (12th week, season six???), the quatrain reads:

After thanks is given at the holiday banquet,
The Trickster feasts on the pie Alamode,
Thur-Mur chokes on his Ruthless Burger, and
The "Bacon of the Sea" makes his belly explode.

Nostradamus was right last week when he predicted a Sea Hogs victory over the Bakers in his Quatrain 420. Does new Quatrain 126 predict another Sea Hogs victory? We will know for certain Monday night!

NOSTRADAMUS COOKS UP ANOTHER ONE !!!

Nostradamus' "Sports Picks"

NOSTRADAMUS COOKS UP ANOTHER ONE !!!

By Bill O'Really, FAUX News

Paris, France - - Scholars at La Sorbonne today released Quatrain 420, the most recent quatrain translated from Nostradamus' "Sports Picks."

Entitled "The Baker," Quatrain 420 reads as follows:

The Baker starts a fire,
His recipe is booked,
He plans to bake the Fish,
Instead, his goose is cooked.

Looks like another win for the Fidalgo Island Sea Hogs (F.I.S.H.) this weekend over the 12th Avenue Bakers!

NOSTRADAMUS PREDICTS SEA HOGS VICTORY!!!

Quatrain 220: In the eighth week of the sixth season, the Hogs of the Sea shall rout the Brothers of the Devil and send them scurrying back to the fiery depths from whence they come.

NOSTRADAMUS PREDICTS SEA HOGS VICTORY!!!

By Bill O'Really, FAUX News

Scholars at La Sorbonne (the University of Paris in Paris, France) have recently discovered a new book of quatrains believed to be authored by Michel De Nostradame, commonly known as Nostradamus, the 16th century seer known for his prophecies of major world events. Entitled "Le Prophecies de Sporte" (roughly translated, "Sports Predictions") the new book contains numerous 4-line poems thought to predict the outcome of future sporting events.

Nostradamus scholars and devotees from around the world, as well as bookmakers from Nashvegas, have descended on Paris in hopes of putting their own spin on the translations. The Chancellor of La Sorbonne, Pierre LePieu, expressed frustration with the clamoring throng, "These arrivistes are so annoying, especially those gamblers. They smell like merde."

One of the first quatrains to be translated is the cryptic Quatrain 220, which, according to the acedemics at La Sorbonne, reads:

"In the eighth week of the sixth season,
the Hogs of the Sea shall rout the Brothers of the Devil
and send them scurrying back
to the fiery depths from whence they come."

Nashvegas bookmakers believe Quatrain 220 refers to the upcoming NFFA Week 8 game between the Fidalgo Island Sea Hogs and the West Nashville Beelzebubbas. According to the odds-makers, Nostradamus has predicted that the Sea Hogs will defeat the Beelzebubbas in a rout. When news of the quatrain broke, the betting line for the game quickly moved 15 points.

Asked about the effect of the Nostradamus prediction on the players, Sea Hogs team captain Elvis Dumervil (DL) said, "It means a lot to us, and especially me. I've always been a Nostradamus fan. Nostradamus has always been important to football. After all, they named Notre Dame after him, didn't they?"

BLEACH OF CONTRACT ???

Gonzales explains how Commissioner Money destroyed his contract with Bobber

BLEACH OF CONTRACT ???

By Bill O'Really, FAUX NEWS

NASHVEGAS — In a development that threatens to destroy the reputation of Commissioner Willie D. Money and the integrity of the NFFA, Alberto Gonzales, former Attorney General of the United States, confirmed rumors that he had been hired by Sea Hogs owner Triki Bobber to investigate alleged irregularities in NFFA scorekeeping. At a hastily convened press conference in Nashvegas, Gonzales informed league representatives and the public of the results of his intensive investigation.

Surrounded by men in black suits and others in white lab coats, Gonzales announced his findings that the NFFA's new league scorekeeper, FanStar Sports, LLC, had indeed failed to count the score correctly for several league games despite Commissioner Money's pre-season promises to team owners that FanStar would score league games the same way that SandBox had for the past two seasons. To the astonishment of reporters and onlookers alike, Gonzales further revealed that he had counseled Bobber to file suit against Money for, among other things, "bleach of contract."

Gonzales told the assembled multitude that Bobber had been assured "in writing" by Commissioner Money that scoring would remain the same under FanStar, but that the ink on the written contract had been erased through an elaborate scheme hatched by Money which involved sending Bobber a bleach-laced letter to destroy the ink on the original contract. According to Gonzales, Money was aware of Bobber's propensity to keep things organized (like most evil geniuses), and knew that Bobber would file Money's bleach-laced follow-up letter alongside the scoring contract, thereby allowing the bleach to perform its insidious task. Tests by CSI labs, whose lab technicians were in attendance, confirmed that traces of bleach were found on Money's letter which also bore his fingerprints.

According to Gonzales, FanStar is unable to keep up with points for tackles made by offensive players after a change of possession, tackles made by special teams players, touchbacks by kickers, and touchdowns scored by defensive players while playing an offensive position (and vice versa), all of which were routinely scored by SandBox for the past two seasons. Gonzales said Bobber was deprived of points in recent games for tackles made by Josh Cribbs on special teams and for a tackle made by WR Wes Welker after an interception in last week's game. Gonzales pointed out that, "With some NFFA games being so close, like the Beelzebubbas-Scouts game and the Animals-Mojo game last weekend, a point or two can make the difference in the outcome of a game and perhaps the league championship."

Gonzales told reporters that Bobber contacted Money to report these scoring discrepancies, as well as FanStar's failure to give the Atlanta SmackDaddies points for the touchdown reception made by LB Mike Vrabel while playing on offense, but Money gave him the brush-off. When Bobber went to his files to retrieve the Commissioner's written contract assuring that FanStar scoring would remain the same as SandBox scoring, Bobber discovered that the ink on the contract was gone.

Gonzales opined that FanStar's failure to count points for players like Vrabel and Welker (who make both offensive and defensive plays) violates the Equal Rights Act in that it discriminates unfairly against players who "go both ways." Gonzales said attempts to contact FanStar were unsuccessful as the company had recently moved its corporate headquarters to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates in order to avoid U.S. laws. Whether Commissioner Money might somehow be liable for this as well was not addressed by Gonzales.

According to Gonzales, he implored Bobber to file suit immediately by stating, "If this had happened to my former client, George Bush, he would have declared war and invaded, regardless of whether the offender possessed large oil reserves."

Bobber did not return phone calls before press time. He is believed to be assembling an armada that is heading down the west coast toward the Panama Canal.

BLACK DOGS MASCOT THREATENS VICK

Leader lashes out during press conference

BLACK DOGS MASCOT THREATENS VICK

By Bill O'Really, Faux News

EAST NASHVILLE — At a press conference in his backyard yesterday, Leader, one of the official mascots of the East Nashville Black Dogs, threatened Michael Vick, the QB of the 12th Avenue Bakers.

Visibly emotional, Leader said, "Vick,GRRRRR! Aaarrrrff! RRRRowl! RRRuufff, BowWow" (translated, "Vick, if you ever take the field against the Black Dogs, I will tear you a new one!).

According to his handlers, Leader was incensed when he learned that Vick had been hosting a dog fighting ring. The Black Dogs mascot had to be sedated following the press conference.
