INDIANAPOLIS—Celebrity sightings are routine during Super Bowl week. But even in such a usually jaded environment, the arrival of Cambridge owner DTA on Friday evening created not just a media splash but a tsunami of attention that threatened to overwhelm the rest of the event.

Papparazzi were frantically snapping shots as DTA disembarked from the Methlon Enterprises jet sporting an ankle-length fur coat and wide-brimmed hat that were said to have been gifts from NBA legend Walt “Clyde” Frazier. Even more notable was what DTA wore on his arm — troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan, who had been seen only two weeks ago in L.A. in the company of rival NFFA owner Q-Curl Sharif. Lohan’s presence only fueled rumors about whether she had become the new consort for DTA since the apparent destruction of Nancy the computer after last season.

Adding to the media attention was the lavish Super Bowl party thrown by Methlon, which included celebrity guests Vanilla Ice, Bryan Cranston and Vince Gilligan of Breaking Bad, Giselle Bundchen, Dr. Jorge Linardo, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Barney Frank, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Jay Cutler, Michael Vick, Aaron Rodgers, Matt Shaub, Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III and the Victoria’s Secret lingerie models.

For his part, DTA remained characteristically low-key. “I heard my buddy QCurl was here and there might be a big announcement this weekend, and I just wanted to join him for that,” DTA said. “Also, I received a letter from an Indianapolis attorney representing the estate of Don Cornelius that he had wanted me to have a very special ring of his, so I guess I’ll find out about that, too.”
