With most of the attention focused on the championship contest between the Sylvan Goats and the Ballers, some NFFA fans may have missed the epic meltdown by Antonio Brown during the third-place game in London between the London Bakers and the East Nashville Black Dogs.

Brown, a starting wide receiver for the Black Dogs, was allegedly upset starting quarterback Justin Herbert was targeting tight end Ron Gronkowski, who finished with seven catches for 115 yards. Brown had three receptions for 26 yards at the time of the incident.

“AB was yelling at Justin,” said one Black Dogs player who spoke on condition of anonymity. “I didn’t catch it all, but at one point he was screaming something about ‘your lover Gronk’ and ‘getting it up the ass later.’

When Coach Joe Montana told Brown to go back in the game, he refused and began to remove his uniform and gear and chuck them into the stands at Wembley Stadium. Then shirtless, he circled part of the stadium on his way to the locker room, waving and flashing peace signs to the Bakers fans.

After the game, Montana said Brown was no longer with the team, but as of this morning, he was still listed on the East Nashville roster.

When asked about the incident, Herbert said he hoped the media would show some compassion. “AB needs help, and blowing this up in the press will only make it worse” he said. Continuing he added, “I just hope he doesn’t wind up at the One Eyed Pig or the Crossfire Hurricane.”

Brown could not be reached for comment prior to publication, although the AWP did confirm he had not been seen at either the Pig or the Hurricane. According to a source traveling with the Black Dogs, Brown did not return to Nashville with the team and his whereabouts were unknown.

Rosters Churning, BTS Yearning, Mojo D Burning

Ballers Notes from Championship 2021 Weekend

By Soren Bernyn
Fantasy Sports Programming Network (FSPN) Senior Correspondent

Quick hits from the Championship Weekend:
  • In a one-photo response on his Discord channel, Mojo D addressed the Sylvan Goats' hypocritical charges of roster churning with a frame grab from the 2014 Eurovision contest.

  • BTS - the planet's #1 pop group - will provide the entertainment at the Ballers Championship halftime  this weekend. The global phenomenon has transcended its K-pop roots, and recently revealed the original source of their acronym: "Ballers Total Success" is also the name of their Ballers fan club, which boasts 24,300,000 members.

  • According to anonymous sources, Mojo D lit up Commissioner Bernie Sanders over his recent treatment of Sylvan Goats, and tendered the Ballers' resignation from the NFFA in solidarity with their Linardo division counterpart and opponent for the 2021 Dead Lombardi Trophy. Since the Goats' Bronko Nagurski offered an olive branch email to other owners, Mojo D and the Ballers have been silent, except to say "Bernie Sanders was asleep at the wheel here - he had a chance to head off this b*llshit before it boiled over. It tainted Championship Week, and we'll include this episode when the NFFA owners review the Commissioner's performance ."

  • Ballers' mouthpiece Rosetta Stone also announced that Mojo D and partners in Asia have launched FSPN - the Fantasy Sports Programming Network - to focus on all things fantasy. This writer is a senior correspondent, and will lead FSPN's investigative unit.'
Happy New Year!
